Dr. Michael J. DiGiovanna received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from the New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury, NY in 1982, graduating summa cum laude and was his class Valedictorian. Dr. Mike graduated the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY in 1987, after having completed an undergraduate fellowship specializing in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine under the mentorship of Stanley Schiowitz, D.O. He completed his rotating internship at Coney Hospital in Brooklyn, NY in 1988. He has been board-certified in Family Practice since 1995. He is a Certified Physician Investigator in clinical research and has been the Principal Investigator in over 350 clinical trials. He is currently Senior Medical Director of Research & Development at ALTuCELL, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company seeking a cure for Type 1 diabetes mellitus and several neurodegenerative conditions. He has been the Chairman of the Family Practice Departments at several institutions, sat on the board of directors for the NY State Osteopathic Medical Society and was the Osteopathic representative to the NY State Medicare Carriers Advisory Committee for many years. He is the author of many publications, including “An Osteopathic Approach to Diagnosis and Treatment.”
Lianna G. McCord, MPAS, PA-C, is an NCCPA board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Family Medicine. She began her undergraduate studies at St. Joseph’s College in Patchogue NY, and completed her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences degree and Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies degree at Touro College Bay Shore NY, in 2016. Lianna worked closely with Dr. Michael DiGiovanna during her graduate studies where she grew interested and well-versed in accessing and applying the most current research for primary care and preventative practice. She began her career in Hospital Medicine at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead NY, and then joined the DiGiovanna Family Health & Wellness Center team in July of 2017.
Michael D. Rini, MPAS, PA-C is a board certified physician assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants and specializes in Family Medicine. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences at Stony Brook University and then earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College. Mr. Rini is a fellow member of of the New York State Society of Physician Assistants as well as the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mr. Rini began practicing at DiGiovanna Family Health and Wellness Center in November of 2017.
Christina L. Errichiello, MPAS, PA-C, is an NCCPA board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes in Family Medicine. Christina completed her undergraduate degree at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY in 2015. Christina then earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro College in 2018. She completed rotations in various primary care offices throughout her graduate program during which she decided to pursue a career as a Family Medicine PA. Christina joined the team at DiGiovanna Family Health and Wellness Center in April 2018.
Dr. Salvatore Trazzera is a Board Certified Cardiologist. His career in medicine spans 25 years. He created Long Islands first 'Women's Heart Program' while in private cardiology practice in Huntington, New York at The Huntington Heart Center & Huntington Hospital,(1997-2008). Throughout his career he has been known to be an innovator and leader and has championed many clinical programs and projects. As a resident and fellow he published in prestigious medical journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine, American Heart Journal and the Journal of Critical Care Medicine. He has served as Vice President, Board of Directors of the Long Island Chapter of the American Heart Association. Dr. Trazzera has held Clinical Appointment's at Cornell University Medical College, New York University School of Medicine, New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and is currently the Medical Director of the Touro College Physician Assistant Program at the Touro College Health Science Center in Bay Shore, New York.
Bernard Stark, MD is a practicing Gastroenterologist in Massapequa, NY. Dr. Stark graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1977 and has been in practice for 40 years. He completed a residency at New York University. Dr. Stark also specializes in Internal Medicine. He currently practices at the DiGiovanna Family Health & Wellness Center and is affiliated with Franklin Hospital Northwell Health, Huntington Hospital Northwell Health and Long Island Jewish Medical Center Northwell Health. Dr. Stark accepts multiple insurance plans including Aetna, Medicare and Humana. Dr. Stark is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Sawey Harhash, M.D. is an interventional pain management specialist who is board certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and fellowship trained in two sub-specialties (Interventional Pain Management & Sports Medicine). A former trauma surgeon for the Air Force and a plastic surgeon in his native Egypt, Dr. Harhash switched careers midstream when he came to America to pursue his passion of helping people get out of pain. Now a pain management practitioner, Dr. Harhash's sole focus is working with people suffering all types of pain using the latest techniques and interventional treatments. He founded Pain, Spine & Sports Care Center in Queens County to help people from the surrounding areas live fuller, happier, more pain-free lives.
After Accumulating over 120 credits at both CW Post and Stony Brook Peter Roth went to work with Dr. Dave Gordon and did an internship in diabetes management and weight loss. After the internship was completed Peter stayed on staff for another two years seeing private clients with a specialty in diabetes, Heart Disease, and weight loss management. Looking to expand his knowledge Peter left the practice and took a job in a Women's health clinic run by Dr. L. Stevens. There he focused on women's health issues including pre-and postnatal nutrition, PMS and PMDD, PCOS, Endometriosis, Thyroid disorders and Menopausal matters including Hormonal balancing. After five years of practice, Peter moved on to private practice as well as a successful venture into the Organic Food Business in which he owned and operated B. Well Naturally a successful Organic Grocery store with Organic Deli and nutritional consultations. Peter spent the next decade honing and refining nutritional protocols for many of today's health concerns and has also consulted with some of the top functional medical doctors in the country developing and refining GI and autoimmune protocols. Peter has become recognized as a clear singular voice cutting through the noise and confusion that often accompanies the media reporting and changing health trends. Peter has been asked to teach at Bridgeport University at their school of Naturopathic Functional Medicine; he now maintains a busy private practice both on long island and in New York City.
Jennifer Hairston-Davis, LCSW, BCD, PC - Clinical Social Worker & Counseling
Jennifer Hairston-Davis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Certified Diplomate in her field. She has a BA in Psychology from Binghamton University and a Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. Jennifer has been in clinical practice as a psychotherapist for 14 years and has worked in a variety of settings with adults, adolescents and children. She specializes in the treatment of PTSD/Trauma/Abuse and has extensive training in the delivery of evidence based treatments for both PTSD and Depression. Jennifer also relies heavily on use of Cognitive Behavioral Techniques and Mind-Body methods to help people to change their thoughts, emotions and behaviors. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop a plan for symptom and quality of life improvement. She is also a Reiki Master Teacher and Living Fit Club Coach. She is passionate about helping others and empowering them to lead more fulfilling lives.
