The DiGiovanna Family Health and Wellness Center began serving the South Shore of Nassau County communities in 1959 when it was established by Joseph A. DiGiovanna D.O. and Eileen L. DiGiovanna D.O.
In 1988, Michael J. DiGiovanna D.O., CPI joined the DiGiovanna Family Health & Wellness Center and continues the Osteopathic and Family Practice tradition begun by his parents.
Through it’s affiliation with the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine since 1983, the DiGiovanna Family Health and Wellness Center has a long tradition of teaching and medical education. Recent additions to it’s teaching programs include NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine, Touro College Physician Assistant Program, the Stony Brook University Physician Assistant Program and LIU/CW Post Nurse Practitioner program.
Clinical research became an important part of the practice since 1992. Clinical research trials have been performed with Pfizer, GlaxoSmithKline, AstraZeneca, Abbott/Abbvie, Novo Nordisk, Eli Lilly and many other major pharmaceutical partners.
The focus of the practice today incorporates the very importance of health, wellness and nutrition.
